A Special Day for Lycoming Football and Frank GirardiAnnville PA -- There was a crisp wind in the air at kickoff time and for the many Lycoming Warrior football fans who traveled 2 1/2 hours to Lebanon County, it was a special day. How many will see another football coach win 200 at Lycoming?

Injuries Hamper Lebanon Valley -- It did not take long for Lycoming to hit pay dirt as they marched 65 yards on eight plays with the opening possession to score on a Jason Marraccini to Tim Dumas eight yard pass play. The extra point try was good. Lycoming used just 3:45 seconds to score.
With just 3:38 second left on the first quarter clock, Brian Thompson grabbed a Marraccini pass for 24 yards and John Shaffer kicked the extra point through the uprights for a 14-0 lead. But Lebanon Valley came to play, even with a number of key injuries that has weakened the squad. Nate Davis caught a Yagmourian pass on a slant pattern over the middle and went for 80 yards as Lycoming's defense was a little flat after their teams two quick scores. That ended the scoring in the first quarter.
Knock out Punch -- The Marraccini lead offense was picking up steam after 10 minutes of back and forth possessions without a score. Jason Marraccini capped off a 9 play drive with a one yard run up the middle. The extra point was missed and Lyco lead 20 to seven. John Scanlan blocked a LVC punt and Lycoming was back on offense at the Lebanon 27. Brian Thompson ran two consecutive plays for 12 and 15 yards to score the Warriors 4th touchdown. Lycoming's two point pass attempt try failed and lead 26-7. On the next series of plays for LVC, Todd Reischer forced a fumble by quarterback Yagmourian which was recovered by Keith Jenkins at the LVC 15 yard line. Lycoming failed to score. Lebanon Valley tried a rush, pass and rush, but the Lyco defense held tight. Mike Venango blocked LVC's punt and recovered on the two yard line. Brian Thompson plunged into the end zone with 17 seconds on the second quarter clock. Jason Marraccini rushed for two point to end the half at Lycoming 34, LVC 7.
Time to Celebrate -- Lycoming took possession from Lebanon Valley at the 12:00 minute mark of the third quarter. LV had 7play for 22 yards and punted the ball to the Lycoming 15 yard line and Jake Maskerines returned the ball 13 yards to the Warrior 28. Nine plays later, capped off by a pass completion from Jason Marraccini to Joe Regenski totaling 27 yards in the air, Lycoming stretched their lead to 40 - after a blocked John Shaffer PAT attempt. Lycoming's last score came at the 55 second mark of the third quarter as Bob Miller rushed 14 yards for the score. John Shaffer's kick went through the uprights for a 47-7 margin in favor of Lycoming. LVC score the final points of the game with a four yard pass completion from Yagmourian to Nate Davis. The extra point was good and the game ended with Lycoming Coach Frank Girardi registering his 200th victory for the Warriors.
